2026 Travel Team – 16U & 17U Division
Pre-tryout mini camps are designed to help athletes prepare and experience BOA staff and way of training, and our staff to get to know you better.
Tryout Details:
Date(s) available: June 24th or July 8th / Time: 4-5:30 PM
Location: BlockOut
Volleyball Academy
133 W Oxmoor Rd, Birmingham, Al 35209
This tryout is open to all athletes; however, BlockOut Academy members will
receive priority consideration, as they are athletes we have trained,
evaluated, and trust.
If a non-member is selected for a team, purchase of a BlockOut annual
membership will be required to participate in the season.
Eligibility Requirements by Age Group:
16U – Athletes must be 16 years old or younger as of July 1, 2026 to try out for the 16s team.

Acceptable Birthdates: Born between July 1, 2009 – June 30, 2010

Cutoff Date: Must be 16 years old or younger on July 1, 2026
17U – Athletes must be 17 years old or younger as of July 1, 2026 to try out for the 17s team.

Acceptable Birthdates: Born between July 1, 2008 – June 30, 2009
